The Prophet's Way of Urinating

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and how he would urinate while sitting down.

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "If anyone tells you that the Messenger of Allah urinated while standing, do not believe him, for I (always) saw him urinating while sitting down".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَسُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُوسَى السُّدِّيُّ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ مَنْ حَدَّثَكَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ ـ بَالَ قَائِمًا فَلاَ تُصَدِّقْهُ أَنَا رَأَيْتُهُ يَبُولُ قَاعِدًا

This hadith is about the way in which the Prophet Muhammad would urinate. It was narrated by 'Aishah that if anyone told you that the Messenger of Allah urinated while standing, do not believe him as she always saw him urinating while sitting down. This hadith teaches us to be mindful of our actions and to follow in the footsteps of our beloved prophet. We should strive to emulate his example in all aspects of life including how we conduct ourselves when using the restroom. Furthermore, it also teaches us to be wary of false information and not take everything we hear at face value without verifying its accuracy first.
