Praising the Ansar of Banu 'Abdul-Ashhal

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) praised the Ansar of Banu 'Abdul-Ashhal for their good qualities.

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah: that the Messenger of Allah said: "The best of the Ansar are Banu 'Abdul-Ashhal".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو السَّائِبِ، سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ خَيْرُ الأَنْصَارِ بَنُو عَبْدِ الأَشْهَلِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ
