Jami at-Tirmidhi 3875 (Book 49, Hadith 275) #29537
The Fondness of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for Khadijah

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was very fond of his first wife Khadijah and would often mention her. Whenever he slaughtered a sheep, he would look for her friends to gift them some of it.

Narrated 'Aishah: "I was not jealous of any wife of the Prophet as I was jealous of Khadijah, and it was not because I did not see her. It was only because the Messenger of Allah mentioned her so much, and because whenever he would slaughter a sheep, he would look for Khadijah's friends to gift them some of it".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the fondness that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had for his first wife, Khadijah. It is narrated by 'Aishah who said that she was not jealous of any other wife because she did not see them, but she was jealous of Khadijah because the Messenger of Allah mentioned her so much and whenever he slaughtered a sheep, he would look for her friends to gift them some of it. This shows us how much love and respect the Prophet had for his beloved wife even after her death. It also teaches us to be generous with our wealth and share it with those in need or those close to us as an act of kindness and charity.
