This hadith is about marriage prohibitions in Islam. It is narrated by Al-Miswar bin Makhramah that while the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was on the Minbar he heard a request from Banu Hisham bin Al-Mughirah asking if they could marry their daughter to 'Ali bin Abi Talib. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) refused this request and said that it would only be allowed if 'Ali was willing to divorce his own daughter and marry theirs instead as she is a part of him. He also expressed that he would be displeased by anything that displeases her and harmed by anything that harms her. This hadith teaches us about the importance of family ties in Islamic teachings as well as how important it is for Muslims to protect their families from any harm or displeasure.
