Jami at-Tirmidhi 3745 (Book 49, Hadith 142) #29404
The Special Companion of Prophet Muhammad

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had a special companion, Az-Zubair bin Al-'Awwam, who was willing to bring news of the enemy's party during the Battle of Al-Ahzab.

Narrated Jabir may Allah be pleased with him: that the Messenger of Allah said: "Indeed, every Prophet has a Hawari and, indeed, my Hawari is Az-Zubair bin Al-'Awwam". And Abu Na'im added in it: "On the Day of Al-Ahzab, he said: 'Who will bring us news about their party?' Az-Zubair said: 'I will'. He said it three times. Az-Zubair said (each time): 'I will'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Serve your leaders with loyalty and dedication no matter what it takes .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the special relationship between Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his companion, Az-Zubair bin Al-'Awwam. During the Battle of Al-Ahzab, when asked who would bring news about their enemies’ party, Zubair volunteered three times without hesitation. This shows that he was willing to put himself in danger for his beloved Prophet ﷺ and this is why he is known as one of his Hawaris or disciples. It also teaches us that we should always strive to serve our leaders with loyalty and dedication no matter what it takes.
