Generosity of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was generous and kind to Ali, even when Ali did not ask for anything.

Narrated 'Ali: "When I would ask the Messenger of Allah , he would give me, and when I would be silent, he would initiate (speech or giving) with me".
حَدَّثَنَا خَلاَّدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَوْفٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ هِنْدٍ الْجَمَلِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ كُنْتُ إِذَا سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَعْطَانِي وَإِذَا سَكَتُّ ابْتَدَأَنِي ‏.هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by 'Ali ibn Abi Talib speaks of the generosity and kindness of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Even when 'Ali was silent, the Prophet would initiate giving with him. This shows that the Prophet was always willing to give generously and without expecting anything in return. He taught us that it is important to be generous with our time, money, and resources as much as we can. It also teaches us that we should be kind to others even if they do not ask for help or assistance from us. We should always strive to be generous and kind like our beloved prophet so that we can spread peace and love in this world.
