This hadith speaks of the special bond between the Prophet and Ali Bin Abi Talib. It is narrated by Al-Bara Bin Azib that the Prophet said to Ali Bin Abi Talib "You are from me, and I am from you". This statement conveys a deep connection between them which goes beyond just being related or having a close friendship. The hadith also teaches us about Muwalaat which means loyalty and devotion towards one another in any relationship whether it be familial or friendly.
