Jami at-Tirmidhi 3695 (Book 49, Hadith 91) #29353
The Day of the Predator

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the Day of Judgement and how it will be a day when no one can protect us except Allah.

Narrated Abu Hurairah: that the Prophet said: "While a man was tending some of his sheep, a wolf came and took a sheep. So its owner came and retrieved it. The wolf said: 'What will you do for it on the Day of the Predator, the Day when there will be no shepherd for it other than me?'" The Messenger of Allah said: "So I believe in that, I and Abu Bakr, and 'Umar". (One of the narrators) Abu Salamah said: "And the two of them were (present) not among the people that day".

Remembering Allah's judgement, striving towards good deeds .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Day of Judgement, which is also known as Qiyamah in Arabic. It tells us that on this day, no one will be able to protect us from Allah's judgement except Him. The story in this hadith involves a man tending his sheep and a wolf coming to take one away. When the man comes to retrieve it, the wolf speaks up and says that on the Day of Judgement, there will be no shepherd for it other than him - meaning that only Allah can protect us from His judgement on that day. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ then said he believed in this statement along with Abu Bakr and Umar who were not present at that time. This hadith teaches us to always remember Allah's judgement and strive to do good deeds so we can be protected by Him on that day.
