The Age of the Prophet's Passing

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) died at the age of sixty-five.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: "The Prophet died when he was sixty-five years old".
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ،قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ،قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ،قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمَّارٌ، مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ تُوُفِّيَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ خَمْسٍ وَسِتِّينَ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنُ الإِسْنَادِ صَحِيحٌ
