QUICK LESSONS:
Speak kindly and respectfully when talking about our beloved prophet ; Use words that are gentle and kind ; Think before we speak .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how the face of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was described by one of his companions. Al-Bara answered a man's question about whether or not the Messenger's face resembled a sword by saying no; instead it was like that of a full moon. This hadith teaches us that we should always speak kindly and respectfully when talking about our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him). It also reminds us to think before we speak and to use words that are gentle and kind. We should never compare anything to our beloved Prophet in any way as he is above all else.

The full moon is often used as an example for beauty in Islamic literature due its bright light which illuminates everything around it. Similarly, this hadith shows us how beautiful and radiant the face of our beloved prophet was - so much so that it could be compared to something as beautiful as a full moon!
