The Reward of Saying La ilaha illallah

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the reward of sincerely saying "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah" and avoiding major sins.

Abu Hurairah may Allah be pleased with him narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: "No worshipper has ever said: None has the right to be worshipped but Allah (La ilaha illallah)’ sincerely, except that the gates of heaven are opened for it, until it reaches to the Throne, so long as he avoids the major sins".
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الصُّدَائِيُّ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، رضى الله عنه قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ مَا قَالَ عَبْدٌ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ قَطُّ مُخْلِصًا إِلاَّ فُتِحَتْ لَهُ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ حَتَّى تُفْضِيَ إِلَى الْعَرْشِ مَا اجْتَنَبَ الْكَبَائِرَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ

This hadith speaks about the reward for worshippers who sincerely say “None has the right to be worshipped but Allah” and avoid major sins. This shows how important it is for us to remember our Creator and stay away from wrongdoings in order to receive His blessings. It also teaches us that we should always strive towards righteousness in order to gain His pleasure.
