Recitation of Surat-at-Tur in Maghrib Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) was reciting Surat-at-Tur in the Maghrib prayer.

Narrated Jubair: (who was among the captives of the Battle of Badr) I heard the Prophet reciting 'Surat-at-Tur' in the Maghrib prayer.
حَدَّثَنِي مَحْمُودٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ـ وَكَانَ جَاءَ فِي أُسَارَى بَدْرٍ ـ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ بِالطُّورِ‏.‏

This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's reciting of a chapter from the Quran called 'Surat at Tur' during his maghrib prayer. This hadith shows us how important it was for the Prophet to recite from the Quran during his prayers and how we should also strive to do so as well. It also teaches us that we should take time out of our day to pray and read from the Quran as this will bring us closer to Allah and help us become better people.
