Jami at-Tirmidhi 3461 (Book 48, Hadith 92) #29110
Relying on Allah as a Treasure from Paradise

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught his companions that Allah is always present and listening, and that the best treasure one can have is to rely on Allah.

Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari said: "We were with the Messenger of Allah on a military expedition. When we returned, we overlooked Al-Madinah, and the people were pronouncing the Takbir, and they raised their voices with it. The Messenger of Allah said: 'Verily, your Lord is not deaf nor absent, and He is between you and between the heads of your mounts.’ Then he said: 'O 'Abdullah bin Qais, should I not inform you of a treasure from the treasures of Paradise: La ḥawla wa la quwwata illa billah (There is no might or power except by Allah).’"

QUICK LESSONS:
Rely solely on God for your needs; seek His pleasure through obedience and worship; trust in His plan; turn to Him during times of difficulty .

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was teaching his companions about the importance of relying on Allah in all matters. He reminded them that their Lord was not deaf nor absent, but rather He was between them and their mounts. To emphasize this point further, he said “should I not inform you of a treasure from the treasures of Paradise?” The answer to this question was La ?awla wa la quwwata illa billah which translates to “There is no might or power except by Allah”. This phrase serves as a reminder for us all that we should rely solely on God for our needs and turn to Him in times of difficulty. It also reminds us that only through His will can anything be accomplished; thus it should be our goal to seek His pleasure in everything we do so we may receive His blessings in return.
