Seeking Refuge in Allah from Shaitan

SUMMARY: Roosters and donkeys have seen angels and shaitans respectively, so when we hear them, we should ask Allah for His bounty or seek refuge in Him from Shaitan.

Abu Hurairah may Allah be pleased with him narrated that: The Prophet said: "when you hear the crowing of the roosters, then ask Allah of His bounty, for verily they have seen an angel. When you hear the braying of a donkey, then seek refuge in Allah from Shaitan, the rejected for, verily, it has seen a Shaitan".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of seeking refuge in Allah from Shaytan when we hear a donkey braying. It also encourages us to ask for His bounty when we hear a rooster crowing. The Prophet Muhammad [peace be upon him] taught us that roosters and donkeys have seen angels and shaytans respectively, so when they make their respective sounds, it is an opportunity to remember our Creator and seek His help. We should take advantage of these moments to ask for His mercy and protection against evil forces. This hadith teaches us the importance of being mindful of our actions at all times as well as the power of prayer in seeking protection from harm.
