when he intended to undertake a journey, Ibn `Umar used to say to a person to "Come close to me so that I may bid you farewell as the Messenger of Allah used to bid us farewell". QUICK LESSONS:
Bid farewell before embarking on any journey by entrusting your religion, trusts and deeds with Allah .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of bidding farewell when one is about to embark on a journey. It teaches us that we should entrust our religion, trusts and deeds to Allah before leaving for any journey. We should have faith in Him that He will take care of all our affairs while we are away from home. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used this phrase as a way of bidding farewell when his companions were leaving for journeys. This phrase serves as an assurance that no matter what happens during the journey, God will protect them and take care of their affairs in their absence. It also serves as a reminder for us not only when we are going on journeys but also in our daily lives; that whatever happens in life is ultimately up to God's will and plan so it's important for us to always put our trust in Him no matter what situation we find ourselves in.
