EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about seeking refuge from Allah. It was narrated by Abu Hurairah who said that Abu Bakr asked Prophet Muhammad to teach him something he could say in morning and evening. Prophet Muhammad then taught him a supplication which includes praising Allah for His attributes such as being Knower of both seen and unseen things as well as Originator of heavens and earth. He also taught him to seek refuge in Him from evil within ourselves as well as evil caused by Satan or his shirk. We should recite this supplication when we wake up in morning or evening or before going to bed so that we can protect ourselves against any kind of harm or danger that might come our way.
