Rain Comes From Clouds

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) would pace back and forth when he saw storm clouds, and relax when it rained. He said that this is as Allah said in the Quran, that rain comes from dense clouds.

Narrated 'Aishah may Allah be pleased with her: "When the Prophet saw storm clouds he would pace back and forth. And when it rained, he would relax". She said: "I said something to him about that, and he said: 'What do I know? Maybe it is as Allah, Most High said: Then, when they saw it as a dense cloud approaching their valleys, they said: "This is a cloud bringing us rain (46:24)"'.

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was known to be a very observant person. When he saw storm clouds gathering, he would pace back and forth in anticipation of the rain. When it did rain, he would relax knowing that his supplication had been answered by Allah Most High. He also reminded us of a verse from the Quran which states that rain comes from dense clouds approaching valleys. This hadith teaches us to observe our surroundings and to remember that all things come from God Almighty alone. We should also take comfort in knowing that our prayers are heard by Him and answered according to His will.
