Jami at-Tirmidhi 3077 (Book 47, Hadith 129) #28726
The Inspirations of Satan

SUMMARY: The hadith is about how Iblis (Satan) gave Hawwa (Eve) a suggestion to name her son Abdul-Harith, which allowed him to live.

Narrated Samurah bin Jundab: that the Prophet said: "When Hawwa became pregnant, Iblis came to her - and her children would not live (after birth) - so he said: 'Name him 'Abdul-Harith'. So she named him 'Abdul-Harith and he lived. So that is among the inspirations of Ash-Shaitan and his commands".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us about the story of Hawwa and her son, Abdul-Harith. It was narrated by Samurah bin Jundab that the Prophet said when Hawwa became pregnant with her son, Iblis (Satan) came to her and told her that he would not live after birth. He then suggested she name him 'Abdul-Harith' and so she did, and he lived. This is an example of one of the inspirations or commands given by Ash-Shaitan. We can learn from this hadith that we should be careful in following any suggestions from Shaitan as they may lead us astray from Allah's path. We should always seek guidance from Allah instead of relying on our own judgement or listening to Shaitans whispers in our hearts.
