Protection from Allah

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) was being guarded until Allah revealed a verse that promised to protect him, so he announced that people should leave as Allah will protect him.

Narrated 'Aishah: "The Prophet was being guarded until this Ayah was revealed: 'Allah will protect you from mankind'. So the Messenger of Allah stuck his head out from the room and said: 'O you people! Go away, for Allah shall protect me'." Abu 'Eisa said: This Hadith is Gharib.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ يُحْرَسُ حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ ‏:‏ ‏(‏ وَاللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ ‏)‏ فَأَخْرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الْقُبَّةِ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ ‏"‏ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ انْصَرِفُوا فَقَدْ عَصَمَنِي اللَّهُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ ‏.‏ وَرَوَى بَعْضُهُمْ، هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ يُحْرَسُ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرُوا فِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the protection of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from mankind. It is narrated by Aishah, one of his wives. In this hadith, it is mentioned that the Prophet ﷺ was being guarded until a verse in the Quran was revealed which promised to protect him. After this revelation, he announced to all those who were guarding him that they could go away as Allah would now be protecting him instead. This hadith teaches us about the power and protection of Allah and how He can help us in times of need if we put our trust in Him and rely on Him alone for our safety and security. It also teaches us to have faith in His promises and not worry too much about worldly matters or seek help from anyone else but Him when we are facing difficulties or danger.
