The Guidance of Allah

SUMMARY: This hadith is about how Allah guided four people to Islam after the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) supplicated against them.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar: "The Messenger of Allah was supplicating against four people, so Allah, Blessed and Most High, revealed: Not for you is the decision; whether He turns in mercy towards them or punishes them; verily they are the wrongdoers (3:128). So Allah guided them to Islam".

QUICK LESSONS:
Make du’a for others & Pray for guidance & forgiveness from God .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us about the power of supplication and mercy of Allah. It is narrated by Abdullah bin Umar that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was praying against four people, and then Allah revealed a verse in response to his prayer. The verse said that it was not up to him to decide whether these people should be punished or forgiven, as they were wrongdoers. However, despite this, Allah still chose to guide them towards Islam instead of punishing them for their wrongdoings. This shows us how merciful and forgiving our Lord is; even when we have done something wrong, He will still give us a chance if we turn back towards Him in repentance. Furthermore, this hadith also teaches us the importance of making du’a for others; even if it seems like there is no hope left for someone who has done something bad, we should never give up on praying for their guidance and forgiveness from Allah.
