Faith Not Wasted

SUMMARY: The Prophet was asked about the fate of those who died while praying towards Bait Al-Maqdis, and Allah revealed that their faith would not be wasted.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: "When the Prophet began facing the Ka'bah they said: 'O Messenger of Allah! How about our brothers who died while they were praying toward Bait Al-Maqdis?' So Allah Most High revealed: Allah would not allow your faith to be wasted. (2:143)"

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of faith in Islam. It tells us that even if someone dies while praying towards a place other than the Ka'bah, their faith will still be accepted by Allah. This is because Allah is merciful and forgiving and He does not want anyone's faith to go to waste. The hadith also reminds us that revelation from Allah can come at any time in response to our questions or doubts. We should always seek guidance from Him when we are unsure about something.
