QUICK LESSONS:
Respect religious texts when travelling
EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Abdullah bin Umar states that it is forbidden for people to travel to a hostile country while carrying copies of the Quran. This means that it is not permissible for Muslims to take their holy book into an enemy territory, as this could put them in danger and risk damaging or losing the Quran. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was very clear about this prohibition, as he wanted his followers to protect their sacred text from any harm or disrespect. This hadith also teaches us that we should be mindful and respectful when travelling with religious texts, no matter where we are going or what our intentions are. We should always ensure that these books are kept safe and secure at all times, so they can continue being passed down through generations without any damage or loss.
