Reciting the Quran with Pause

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would recite certain phrases of the Quran in a specific order and pause between each phrase.

Narrated Ibn Abi Mulaikah: that Umm Salamah said: "The Messenger of Allah would separate recitation reciting: 'Al-Hamdulillahi Rabbil-'Alamin' then he would stop'.Ar-Rahmanir-Rahim' then he would stop. And he would recite it: 'Maliki Yawmid-Din'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Take your time to reflect on each verse while pausing between them . Respect for Worshiping Allah SWT . Appreciate its meaning instead of rushing through it . Be mindful of your tone when reciting as it is an act of worship towards Allah SWT .

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Ibn Abi Mulaikah and Umm Salamah tells us that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to recite certain phrases of the Quran in a specific order. He would start with ‘Al-Hamdulillahi Rabbil-'Alamin’ then pause before continuing with ‘Ar-Rahmanir-Rahim’ followed by another pause before reciting ‘Maliki Yawmid-Din’. This teaches us that when we are reciting the Quran, we should take our time to reflect on each verse and appreciate its meaning instead of rushing through it. We should also be mindful of our tone when reciting as it is an act of worship towards Allah SWT.
