Trimming Mustache and Growing Beard

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) instructed to trim the mustache and leave the beard to grow.

Narrated Ibn 'Umar: that the Messenger of Allah said: "Trim the mustache and leave the beard to grow".
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلاَّلُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ أَحْفُوا الشَّوَارِبَ وَأَعْفُوا اللِّحَى ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ
