Greeting Children with Salam

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) taught us to be kind and respectful to children by greeting them with salam.

Narrated Sayyar: "I was walking with Thabit Al-Bunani. He passed by some boys, so he said Salam to them. Then Thabit said: 'I was with Anas when he passed by some boys and gave the Salam to them, and Anas said: I was with the Prophet when he passed by some boys and he gave the Salam to them'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Give salaams when passing by children .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us the importance of being kind and respectful to children. It was narrated by Sayyar that he was walking with Thabit Al-Bunani when they passed by some boys, so Thabit said Salam to them. Then he mentioned that he was once with Anas who also passed by some boys and gave the Salam to them, and Anas said that he was once with the Prophet Muhammad PBUH who also passed by some boys and gave them the Salam as well. This shows us how important it is for us as Muslims to greet children in a friendly manner whenever we meet them. We should always remember that our beloved Prophet Muhammad PBUH set an example for us in this regard, so we should strive to follow his teachings in our daily lives.
