Salvation Despite Sins

SUMMARY: Whoever dies without associating anything with Allah will enter Paradise, even if they have committed sins such as adultery and theft.

Narrated Abu Dharr: that the Messenger of Allah said: "Jibril came to me and gave me glad tidings, that whoever dies without associating anything with Allah, then he will enter Paradise. I said: "Even if he commits adultery and theft?" He said: "Yes".

QUICK LESSONS:
Turn to Allah in repentance and ask for His mercy; never give up hope of being forgiven by Him; remember that His mercy is greater than our sins.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the mercy of Allah and how He forgives those who repent for their sins. It tells us that no matter what we do, if we die without associating anything with Allah, then He will forgive us and grant us entry into Paradise. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was asked if this was true even for those who commit major sins such as adultery or theft, to which Jibril replied yes. This hadith teaches us that no matter what mistakes we make in life, Allah is always willing to forgive us if we turn to Him in repentance and ask for His mercy. We should never give up hope of being forgiven by Him because His mercy is greater than our sins.
