This hadith is about the commandment given by Allah to Prophet Muhammad to fight people until they profess the Islamic creed of La Ilaha Illallah. This means that if someone does not believe in this statement, then it is permissible for Muslims to fight them. However, if someone does accept this statement then their lives and wealth will be protected from any harm or damage except what is obligatory upon them according to Islam. Ultimately, it is up to Allah as He will judge them on the Day of Judgment.
