The Commandment to Fight for La Ilaha Illallah

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad was commanded to fight people until they profess the Islamic creed of La Ilaha Illallah, and if they do so, their lives and wealth will be protected.

Narrated Abu Hurairah: narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: "I have been ordered to fight the people until they say La Ilaha Illallah", and if they say that, then their blood and wealth will be protected from me, except what it makes obligatory upon them, and their reckoning is up to Allah".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the commandment given by Allah to Prophet Muhammad to fight people until they profess the Islamic creed of La Ilaha Illallah. This means that if someone does not believe in this statement, then it is permissible for Muslims to fight them. However, if someone does accept this statement then their lives and wealth will be protected from any harm or damage except what is obligatory upon them according to Islam. Ultimately, it is up to Allah as He will judge them on the Day of Judgment. This hadith teaches us that we should strive for justice and peace in our society by spreading the message of Islam through peaceful means such as dialogue and education rather than resorting immediately to violence or war. It also teaches us that we should respect other people's beliefs even if we disagree with them as long as those beliefs do not cause any harm or injustice towards others.
