Warning Against Taking From Unlawful Treasure

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) warned people not to take anything from a treasure of gold that will be uncovered by the Euphrates river.

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: "The Euphrates shall soon uncover a treasure of gold, so whoever witnesses it, let him not take anything from it".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ يُوشِكُ الْفُرَاتُ يَحْسِرُ عَنْ كَنْزٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَمَنْ حَضَرَهُ فَلاَ يَأْخُذْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's warning against taking from an unlawful treasure of gold that will be uncovered by the Euphrates river.
