Jami at-Tirmidhi 2567 (Book 38, Hadith 45) #28202
The Three Loved by Allah

SUMMARY: Allah loves those who recite the Quran, spend in charity and face enemies bravely.

Abdullah bin Mas'ud narrated a Marfu' narration: "There are three whom Allah, the Mighty and Glorious, loves: A man who stood at night reciting the Book of Allah; a man who spent in charity with his right hand, concealing it"- it seems to me he said "from his left hand"- "and a man who was in a small expedition while his companions were decimated, yet he faced enemy". Another chain reports a similar narration.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of three qualities that are loved by Allah. The first is reciting the Book of Allah, which refers to reading and studying the Quran. This is an important part of a Muslim's life as it helps them to understand their faith better and become closer to God. The second quality is spending in charity with one's right hand while concealing it from one's left hand. This means that when giving charity, one should do so without expecting anything in return or seeking recognition for their good deed. Lastly, the third quality mentioned is facing enemies bravely even if one’s companions are decimated or defeated. This shows courage and strength of character which are also highly valued by God Almighty. All these qualities demonstrate a person’s commitment to their faith and dedication towards pleasing God through their actions and deeds.
