QUICK LESSONS:
Strive for simplicity in our lives so we can focus more on our relationship with Allah SWT instead of materialistic things or worldly pleasures which will not benefit us in this world or hereafter .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the simplicity of the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and how it was a reflection of his humility and piety. It is narrated that when Umar bin Al-Khattab entered upon him he saw him reclining on a mat woven from fibers which left impressions on his side due to its thinness and lack of comfortability. This shows us that despite being one of the most influential people in history, he chose to live a humble life with minimal possessions and comforts in order to be closer to Allah SWT through worshiping Him without any distractions or luxuries getting in between them. We can learn from this example that we should strive for simplicity in our lives so we can focus more on our relationship with Allah SWT instead of materialistic things or worldly pleasures which will not benefit us in this world or hereafter.
