Abundance of Drinking Vessels at the Hawd

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) said that there are many drinking vessels at his Hawd, which is as numerous as the stars in the heavens.

Anas bin Malik narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: "Indeed, at my Hawd there are drinking vessels as numerous as the stars in the heavens".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِنَّ فِي حَوْضِي مِنَ الأَبَارِيقِ بِعَدَدِ نُجُومِ السَّمَاءِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ

In this hadith, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is informing us about a place called ‘Hawd’ which has an abundance of drinking vessels that are as numerous as stars in the heavens. This hadith teaches us to be grateful for all that we have and to appreciate even small blessings from Allah Almighty. It also reminds us of how generous and merciful Allah is towards His creation and how He provides for them abundantly without any effort on their part. Furthermore, it encourages us to strive for excellence in our lives by striving to achieve more than what we already have been blessed with by Allah Almighty.
