Accountability on the Day of Judgement

SUMMARY: This hadith explains that on the Day of Judgement, every person will be held accountable for their actions and deeds.

"Abu Hurairah narrated: "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) recited: That Day it will declare its information. And said: 'Do you know what its information is?' they said: 'Allah and His Messenger know best'. He said: 'Indeed its information is that it will testify against every servant, male and female, It will say that he did such and such, on such and such a day'. He said: 'With this it shall be ordered'." Abu 'Eisa said: This Hadith is Hasan Gharib.

QUICK LESSONS:
Strive to do good at all times even when no one else knows about it or is watching you .

EXPLANATIONS:
On the Day of Judgement, every person will be held accountable for their actions and deeds. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ recited a verse from the Quran which states that on this day it will declare its information. He then asked if anyone knew what this information was and they replied saying Allah and His Messenger know best. The Prophet ﷺ then explained that it is referring to how everyone’s deeds will be accounted for; each person’s good and bad deeds will be revealed to them in front of all other people present. This Hadith teaches us to always strive to do good as we are being watched by Allah at all times and our actions have consequences which we must face in the hereafter. We should also remember that no matter how small or insignificant an action may seem, it still counts towards our record with Allah so we should always try our best to do what is right even when no one else is watching us or knows about it.
