Show compassion towards those who are suffering from poverty or hunger; Try your best to help out those who need it; Understand what others may be going through even if you have not experienced it yourself; Show empathy towards others' struggles.

This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's empathy for his companions when they complained of hunger. When the companions raised their garments from their stomachs to expose a stone on each of them due to extreme hunger, the Prophet Muhammad raised his garment to expose two stones on his own stomach as a sign that he was also going through similar hardships as them. This hadith teaches us about empathy and understanding for those who are going through difficult times such as poverty or hunger. It also teaches us that even if we are not facing similar difficulties ourselves, we should still be able to understand what others are going through and try our best to help them out in any way possible.
