Be patient and humble despite poverty; Help those who are less fortunate than yourself; Be content with what you have; Gain blessings from Allah on the Day of Judgment.

This hadith speaks of the rewards that await those who are poor in this world. It tells us that Allah has promised them a special reward for their patience and perseverance in this life. The Messenger of Allah said that they will enter paradise before their rich counterparts by half a day, which is equivalent to 500 years.
