Glad Tidings for Those Guided to Islam

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) is giving glad tidings to those who are guided to Islam and have enough livelihood and satisfaction.

Fadalah bin 'Ubaid narrated that he heard the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) saying: "Glad tidings to whoever is guided to Islam, his livelihood was sufficient and he was satisfied".
حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو هَانِئٍ الْخَوْلاَنِيُّ، أَنَّ أَبَا عَلِيٍّ، عَمْرَو بْنَ مَالِكٍ الْجَنْبِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ طُوبَى لِمَنْ هُدِيَ إِلَى الإِسْلاَمِ وَكَانَ عَيْشُهُ كَفَافًا وَقَنِعَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ وَأَبُو هَانِئٍ اسْمُهُ حُمَيْدُ بْنُ هَانِئٍ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad is conveying a message of joy and glad tidings for those who are guided to Islam. He is saying that if someone has been guided to the religion of Islam then they will be blessed with sufficient livelihood and satisfaction in life. This means that if one follows the teachings of Islam then Allah will provide them with enough sustenance in life so that they can live comfortably without having any worries about their basic needs being met. Additionally, it also implies that one should be content with what they have been given as Allah knows best what is good for us and we should trust Him in all matters related to our lives. Furthermore, this hadith also serves as a reminder for us all that we should strive towards following the teachings of Islam so that we can receive these blessings from Allah in our lives too.
