The Basic Rights of Humanity

SUMMARY: The Prophet (s.a.w) taught that the only rights of a human being are to have a house, clothing, food and water.

'Uthman bin 'Affan narrated that the Prophet (s.a.w) said: "There is no right for the son of Adam in other than these things: A house which he lives in, a garment which covers his nakedness, and jilf (a piece of bread) and water".

QUICK LESSONS:
Provide basic necessities such as housing, clothing & food & water for those who need it .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the basic rights of humanity that were taught by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He said that every human being has the right to have a house to live in, clothing to cover their body, food and water for sustenance. These are essential needs for any person and it is important for us to remember this teaching from our beloved Prophet ﷺ so we can ensure everyone has access to these basic necessities in life. We should also strive towards providing these things for those who do not have them or cannot afford them as part of our responsibility as Muslims towards each other and humanity at large.
