The Never-Ending Greed of Humans

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that humans are never satisfied with what they have and will always want more, but Allah will forgive those who repent.

Anas bin Malik narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: "If the Son of Adam had a valley of gold, then he would still like to have a second . And nothing fills his mouth but dust, Allah turns to whoever repents".

This shows how humans are always looking for something else to make them happy or content, but this is not the case. The Prophet also teaches us that Allah will forgive those who repent from their wrongdoings and turn to Him in repentance. This hadith reminds us to be content with what we have and not be greedy for more than we need or can handle.
