Strive to be like the best generations before us; guided by faith and righteousness; act with honesty and discretion; speak only when prompted/questioned first

This hadith is about the generations of people that have come and gone throughout history. The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) said that the best of all these generations were his own, followed by three more after him in order of excellence.
