Warning Against Liars

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) warned his followers of a liar who is blind in one eye and that their Lord is not blind in one eye, with the word 'Kafir' written between his eyes.

It was narrated that Anas said: "The Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said: 'There was no Prophet except that he warned his Ummah of the liar who is blind in one eye. Lo! He is blind in one eye, and your Lord is not blind in one eye. Written between his eyes is: Kafir'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow only truth and stay away from lies; Be cautious when listening to others; Believe only what has been taught by Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) .

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ warned his followers of a liar who is blind in one eye, meaning that this person cannot see the truth and will lead people astray from it. He also reminded them that their Lord is not blind in one eye, meaning that Allah knows what is true and what isn't, so they should be careful to follow only the truth. This warning was further emphasized by the fact that this liar had the word 'kafir' written between his eyes - kafir being someone who does not believe or accept something as true - indicating how dangerous it would be to follow him instead of Allah's teachings.
