Jami at-Tirmidhi 2243 (Book 33, Hadith 86) #27876
Faith, Disbelief & Tranquility

SUMMARY: The hadith explains that faith is from the Yemeni direction, disbelief is from the east, tranquility is for those who are humble and wickedness and pride are found in those who boast. It also mentions that Al-Masih (Ad-Dajjal) will come and be destroyed in Ash-Sham.

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said: "Faith is Yemeni, and disbelief is from the direction of the east. Tranquility is for the people of sheep, and wickedness and Riya is in those who boast among the people of horses and the people of camels. Al-Masih – that is Ad-Dajjal- will come, and when he reaches behind Uhud, the angels will turn his face to the direction of Ash-Sham, and is there that he will be destroyed". (Sahih)

Practice humility, Have faith in Allah SWT .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains the importance of faith and how it should be practiced. It states that faith comes from Yemen while disbelief comes from the east. It also mentions that tranquility is for those who are humble while wickedness and pride can be found in those who boast about themselves or their possessions. Furthermore, it talks about Al Masih Ad Dajjal coming to Ash Sham where he will be destroyed. This hadith teaches us to practice humility instead of boasting or being proud of ourselves or our possessions as this leads to wickedness which goes against Islamic teachings. We should also strive to have faith in Allah SWT as this brings peace into our lives instead of disbelief which leads us away from Allah SWT’s path.
