Jami at-Tirmidhi 2213 (Book 33, Hadith 56) #27846
Preceding the Hour

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) was sent to the world before the Hour of Judgement, as a sign of its impending arrival.

Al-Mustawrid bin Shaddad Al-Fihri reported that the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said: "I was sent in advance of the Hour, so that I precede it like this precedes this". (Indicating) with his index and middle fingers.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) was sent to the world before the Hour of Judgement, as a sign of its impending arrival. He indicated this by using his index and middle fingers in a gesture that symbolized precedence and superiority over something else - in this case, it was an indication that he would come before the Hour of Judgement itself. This hadith teaches us that we should be prepared for when judgement day comes, and strive to live our lives according to Islamic teachings so that we can be ready for it when it arrives. It also reminds us of how important it is to follow Prophet Muhammad's example in our lives, since he is an example for all Muslims on how they should live their lives according to Islamic teachings and values.
