SUMMARY: The moon split during the time of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) and he asked people to bear witness to this event.

Ibn 'Umar said: "The moon split during the time of the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w), so the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said: 'Bear witness"'.

QUICK LESSONS:
Be prepared for miracles from Allah Almighty, testify truthfully about what you have seen or heard no matter how extraordinary it may seem etc..

EXPLANATIONS:
According to a hadith narrated by Ibn 'Umar, during the time of Prophet Muhammad(s.a.w), there was an extraordinary event where the moon split into two parts and then rejoined again as one piece. The prophet asked people to bear witness to this event, which is a reminder for us that Allah is capable of doing anything He wills and that we should always be ready for any kind of miracle from Him at any given moment in our lives. This hadith also teaches us that we should always be prepared to testify about what we have seen or heard, no matter how extraordinary it may seem, because it could be a sign from Allah Almighty Himself!
