Jami at-Tirmidhi 2161 (Book 33, Hadith 4) #27794
Reliability of Muhammad bin Yusuf as a Narrator of Hadith

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the reliability of Muhammad bin Yusuf as a narrator of Hadith and his grandfather As-Sa'ib bin Yazid's Hajj in the Farewell Pilgrimage with Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w).

Muhammad bin Yusuf narrated that As-Sa'ib bin Yazid said: "Yazid performed Hajj in the Farewell Pilgrimage with the Prophet (s.a.w) when I was seven years old". So 'Ali bin Al-Madini narrated from Yahya bin Sa'eed Al-Qattan: "Muhammad bin Yusuf was a very reliable narrator of Hadith, and As-Sa'ib bin Yazid was his grandfather, and Muhammad bin Yusuf would say: 'As-Sa'ib bin Yazid narrated to me- and he is my grandfather from my mother's side"'.
