The Link Between Wealth and Wala

SUMMARY: Inheriting wealth is linked to inheriting Wala.

Amr bin Shu'aib narrated from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah(S.A.W) said: "The one who inherits the Wala is the one who inherits the wealth".
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قال: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ ‏ "‏ يَرِثُ الْوَلاَءَ مَنْ يَرِثُ الْمَالَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ لَيْسَ إِسْنَادُهُ بِالْقَوِيِّ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the importance of inheritance in Islam. It teaches us that when a person inherits wealth, they also inherit the responsibility of taking care of those who are related to them through this wealth. This responsibility is known as 'Wala'. It means that when a person inherits something, they must take care of their family members and relatives who are connected to them through this inheritance. They must provide for them financially and emotionally as well as spiritually if needed. This hadith reminds us that we should not forget our responsibilities towards our family members even after we have inherited something from someone else.
