Inheritance Distribution According To Islamic Law

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) instructed to give the shares of inheritance to those who are entitled to them and whatever remains should be given to the closest male relative.

Ibn 'Abbas narrated that the Messenger of Allah(S.A.W) said: "Give the shares of inheritance to those who are entitled to them. As for what remains, then it is for the closet male relative". Another chain reports similar narration.

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow Islamic law when distributing wealth after death, Give rightful share of inheritance firstly to those who are entitled before anyone else does so they can take care of themselves financially afterwards .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how inheritance should be distributed according to Islamic law. The Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) instructed that the shares of inheritance should be given firstly to those who are entitled to it, such as family members or relatives, and whatever remains after that should be given to the closest male relative, known as an awl in Arabic or a wasiyyah in transliteration. This hadith teaches us that we must follow Islamic law when it comes distributing our wealth after we pass away and ensure that our family members receive their rightful share of inheritance before anyone else does so they can take care of themselves financially afterwards.
