The Healing Power of Truffles

SUMMARY: Abu Hurairah used truffles to cure a slave girl's eyes.

"Qatadah said: "It was narrated to me that Abu Hurairah said: 'I took three truffles, or five, or seven, and pressed them. Then I put their liquid in a bottle, and I used it on the eyes of a slave girl of mine so she was cured'."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قال حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ، قال حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ حُدِّثْتُ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ أَخَذْتُ ثَلاَثَةَ أَكْمُئٍ أَوْ خَمْسًا أَوْ سَبْعًا فَعَصَرْتُهُنَّ فَجَعَلْتُ مَاءَهُنَّ فِي قَارُورَةٍ فَكَحَلْتُ بِهِ جَارِيَةً لِي فَبَرَأَتْ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us about the healing power of truffles. It was narrated by Qatadah that Abu Hurairah took three or five or seven truffles and pressed them to extract their liquid which he then put in a bottle. He then used this liquid on the eyes of his slave girl and she was cured. This hadith teaches us that natural remedies can be effective in curing illnesses and diseases. We should also remember that it is important to treat our slaves with kindness as they are human beings too who deserve respect and compassion from us just like everyone else does.
