QUICK LESSONS:
Take care of your health through natural means such as Hijamah rather than relying solely on modern medicine alone .

EXPLANATIONS:
According to this hadith narrated by Anas, it is evident that Prophet Muhammad SAW practiced cupping therapy on himself on the seventeenth, nineteenth and twenty first of every month. This practice is known as Hijamah in Arabic and it involves making small incisions in certain areas of the body to draw out blood for therapeutic purposes. It is a form of alternative medicine which has been used since ancient times for various ailments such as headaches and joint pains. In Islamic tradition it is believed that this practice was recommended by Prophet Muhammad SAW himself as a form of healing from physical ailments or spiritual illnesses such as depression or anxiety. This hadith serves to remind us that we should take care of our health through natural means such as Hijamah rather than relying solely on modern medicine alone.
