The Benefits of Charity and Humility

SUMMARY: Charity does not reduce wealth, and humbling oneself for Allah will result in being raised in honor.

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: "Charity does not diminish wealth, Allah does not increase a man in anything for his pardoning (others) but in honor, and none humbles himself for Allah but Allah raises him".

Additionally, it tells us that if we humble ourselves for Allah's sake, He will raise us in honor. This means that if we are humble and put our trust in Allah, He will reward us with respect from others as well as His blessings. We should strive to be generous with our money and time while also remembering to stay humble before God so that we can reap the rewards of both actions.
