Treating Slaves with Respect

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) warned that those who mistreat their slaves will not enter paradise.

Abu Bakr As-Siddiq narrated that the Messenger of Allah said : "The one who treats his slaves badly will not enter paradise".
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ فَرْقَدٍ السَّبَخِيِّ، عَنْ مُرَّةَ الطَّيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ لاَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ سَيِّئُ الْمَلَكَةِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ ‏.‏ وَقَدْ تَكَلَّمَ أَيُّوبُ السَّخْتِيَانِيُّ وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ فِي فَرْقَدٍ السَّبَخِيِّ مِنْ قِبَلِ حِفْظِهِ
