Providing Aid in Times of War

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) was providing aid to the wounded and bringing the killed back to Medina from the battlefield.

Narrated Ar-Rubayyi 'bint Mu'auwidh: We were in the company of the Prophet providing the wounded with water and treating them and bringing the killed to Medina (from the battle field) .
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ ذَكْوَانَ، عَنِ الرُّبَيِّعِ بِنْتِ مُعَوِّذٍ، قَالَتْ كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ نَسْقِي، وَنُدَاوِي الْجَرْحَى، وَنَرُدُّ الْقَتْلَى إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about how during times of war, it is important to provide assistance and care for those who are injured or killed. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was an example of this as he provided aid and comfort to those who were wounded in battle and brought back those who were killed. He showed us that even during times of conflict we should still show compassion towards our fellow human beings. This hadith also teaches us that we should not forget about our duties towards others even when faced with difficult situations such as war. We must remember that it is our responsibility to help others in need regardless of what is going on around us.
